About this treatment

Baby teeth matter: they help children chew, speak clearly and hold space for the adult teeth underneath. A cavity in a milk tooth can still cause pain, infection and crooked permanent teeth, which is why early, regular visits make such a difference.

Our children's dentistry is built around trust. We use simple words, let your child touch and see the instruments first and never rush. The goal is a child who leaves smiling and is happy to come back — the best protection there is for a lifetime of healthy teeth.

What's included

  • A gentle, playful approach
  • Fluoride and protective sealants
  • Brushing and diet tips for parents

Is this treatment for you?

Book a visit if you recognise one of these situations:

  • Your child's first tooth has appeared, or they are turning one
  • White or brown spots, holes or sensitivity on a tooth
  • Bleeding gums or bad breath that doesn't go away
  • Thumb-sucking or a dummy habit after age 3
  • A fall or knock to the mouth, even if the tooth looks fine
  • Your child is anxious about the dentist

Benefits

Fear-free first experiences

A calm, playful approach that helps children build a positive relationship with the dentist.

Cavities prevented early

Fluoride varnish and sealants protect grooves where decay usually starts.

Growth monitored

We follow how teeth and jaws develop and spot alignment issues early.

Parents in the loop

Clear, practical advice on brushing, snacks, bottles and habits for every age.

How it works, step by step

  1. 1

    Hello and tour

Your child meets the team, sits in the chair and discovers the tools in a relaxed, playful way.

  2. 2

    Gentle examination

We count and check the teeth, gums and bite, and take low-dose X-rays only when needed.

  3. 3

    Cleaning and protection

A light polish, fluoride varnish and, if useful, sealants on the back teeth.

  4. 4

    Advice for parents

We explain what we saw, answer your questions and plan the next visit.

Aftercare and everyday tips

  • Brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste: a smear for under-3s, a pea-sized amount after that
  • Help or supervise brushing until about age 7 or 8
  • Keep sweet drinks and snacks to mealtimes; water between meals
  • Avoid putting children to bed with a bottle of milk or juice
  • Book a checkup every six months

Frequently asked questions

Ideally when the first tooth appears, and no later than their first birthday. Early visits are short and gentle, and they help your child get used to the dentist before any problem appears.

Often, yes. Untreated decay in a baby tooth can cause pain and infection and can affect the adult tooth growing underneath. We always choose the gentlest option suited to your child's age and how long the tooth still has to stay.

A thin protective coating painted onto the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. It seals the deep grooves where food gets trapped. It is quick, painless and needs no injection or drilling.

We go at your child's pace, explain everything with simple words and show each instrument first. We never force treatment; sometimes a first visit is just about getting comfortable, and that is perfectly fine.

Of course. Most young children feel safer with a parent nearby, and we like parents to see and hear the advice we give.
